lawyers: Ellen Grooten

Ellen GROOTEN obtained the diploma of Master of Law at the Catholic University of Leuven and started her career as a lawyer at the Bar of Mechelen in 1994.

After six years of experience in various domains, among which General Commercial Law, Law of Obligations and Criminal Law, the office asked her as a collaborator, which she accepted in 2000.

Besides her experience as a lawyer for the defence before the Assize Court, she is considered as one of the better lawyers in the field of general and special Criminal Law, among which economic criminal law.

In the office she is the expert in this domain.

She also has a strong reputation as a passionate barrister.

She is also treating more traditional commercial disputes and litigious claims, also in connection with Family Law and general Civil Law.

That is why she is the rightful coordinator of the activities of the younger collaborators who received assignments or partial assignments.
