domains: environmental law

In the past decades, Environmental Law has grown expansively, compelling citizens and companies to comply with the most strict rules which are not always as transparent as they should be. Therefore, it is always wise to consult a specialist to assist you in these matters.

It is not always easy to give an exhaustive description of Environmental Law, because the rules of environmental law can be found in different judicial branches, such as Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Energy Law, Tax Law, Law of Property, etc..

Due to the broad spectrum of Environmental Law, it is often referred to as a functional judicial domain, the scope of which is defined in relation with the environmental problems. Hence, the Environmental Law does not fall within the traditional subdivision of law in private and public law, and in national and international law.

The Environmental Law will among others play a role in dossiers concerning:

  • Soil sanitation including environmental problems and contractual regulations when transferring immovable properties and other business transactions

  • Urban development and town planning

  • Exploitation and environmental permits

  • Nature permits

  • Liabilities in case of environmental damage, include environmental criminal law.
